| The Hartsville Fire Co. will honor rescue personnel who died while saving others during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. A display of 403 American flags will be planted on the front lawn of the Hartsville Fire Co. Station No. 1 on Wednesday, to memorialize 343 New York City firefighters, 37 New York Port Authority officers and 23 New York Police Department officers who died as a result of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Two more flags will represent local volunteer firefighters, John Kulick and Tristan Smith, who were killed in action while serving in the military in Iraq. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. at the station at 1195 York Road in Warminster. The station will be open from sunup to sundown for visitors who wish to "stop, reflect and remember," |
