HFC and WFD combined training Tuesday night to refresh Rapid Intervention Team techniques. Skill stations included moving an injured firefighter up and down steps and from above and below grade windows.

FAST Rescue Solutions was on hand to demonstrate the use of their FASTboard. This device is designed to make the removal of a down firefighter easier and quicker. For more information on their product you can go to www.fastrescuesolutions.com.

Rapid Intervention Teams are staged at fire scenes in event a firefighter is injured or trapped during fire suppression activities. These teams can be quickly activated to locate and retrieve a lost, injured or down firefighter while fire suppression activities continue.

Thank you again to the staff at FAST Rescue Solutions for their assistance with the drill.
