Members of the Hartsville Fire Co gave final approval for the replacement of Engine 93 on Tuesday night. The current Engine 93 went into service in 1998. A truck committee was formed over a year ago headed by Chief Engineer Tom Hannon. After meeting with several manufactures the committee narrowed the choice down to Pierce Manufacturing. A final drawing for a Pierce Saber FR was presented to the membership for their approval. The cost of the new truck will be approximately $450,000.00 once completed. The current Engine 93 will be sold to off set the cost of the purchase. Delivery of the new engine is set for first quarter 2018.

Members of the HFC would like to thank the Apparatus Committee for their dedication and hard work to the residents of Warminster Township.
