On Wednesday 2/15/2017 Hartsville Fire Company was dispatched to Dager Rd & Irma Rd for a dwelling fire at 14:00 hours, Tactical box 93-31.

BC92 arrived on scene reporting heavy smoke showing from a 2 story single family dwelling on Dager Rd. DC90 arrived on scene and set up command. Squirt 93 led off with an 1 3/4" while Rescue 78 established a water supply from a hydrant at Barness Dr and Dager Rd. When additional crews arrived they placed ground ladders and advanced additional handlines. A neighbor was able to rescue 1 dog through a window prior to the fire departments arrival but 2 other dog were lost. FM274 is investigatiing the cause.
