Hartsville Fire Co. held its annual 9/11 observance. There were 403 flags placed on the front lawn of the station representing the 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 Officers of the NYPD, and 37 Police Officers of the Port Authority NY/NJ killed on 9/11. Two additional flags represent SPC. John Kulick & SPC. Tristan Smith who were local firefighters that joined the military because of 9/11 and were both killed in action.

Starting at sunrise with the placement of flags on the front lawn there was a day long open house at the station. A Memorial Service concluded the day. During the service guests were asked to participate with of the retrieval of the flags, the reading of the names of the fallen, and singing of patriotic songs.

Thanks to the Bucks County Firefighter and EMS Memorial Honor Guard who presented the colors for the memorial service inside the fire station and then stood watch at the memorial, to Warminster FD Engine 92 for covering Station 93 during the memorial service, and to Billy Monaghan and his band for providing the music.
