Hartsville Fire Company congratulates Firefighter of the Year John Merritt. The Central Bucks County Chamber of Commerce will recognize John this weekend.

John Merritt joined Hartsville Fire Company in November of 2010. In that short period of time John has completed Firefighter 1 and Pump 1. John has taken the initiative to get approved as an operator of the boom on Squirt 93, he is driver/operator of Special Service 93 and is currently training as a driver/operator of Engine 93. John, who works as a information security analysis for a local credit union, heads our computer committee where he oversees the purchases and maintenance of our computer system. John is married to his wife Gina and they have 4 children. The officers and members of the Hartsville Fire Company are fortunate to have a member like John and it is our honor to nominate John for Firefighter of the Year.
